JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM – Polri membuka kesempatan bagi penyandang disabilitas untuk menjadi perwira kepolisian, pun bintara. Rekrutmen ini merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen Polri untuk mewujudkan kesetaraan bagi seluruh warga negara, termasuk penyandang disabilitas.
Asisten Kapolri bidang Sumber Daya Manusia (As SDM), Irjen Dedi Prasetyo menjelaskan, dasar hukum yang digunakan dalam penerimaan adalah Undang-undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2023, Peraturan Menteri PAN-RB Nomor 27 Tahun 2021, Peraturan Menteri PAN-RB Nomor 28 Tahun 2021, Peraturan Menteri PAN-RB Nomor 29 Tahun 2021.
Dedi pun bicara mengenai kesempatan bagi penyandang disabilitas fisik untuk menjadi anggota Polri berdasarkan UU Nomor 8 Tahun 2016 tentang Penyandang Disabilitas, Peraturan Kapolri Nomor 10 Tahun 2016 tentang Penerimaan Anggota Polri.
“Bahwa tahun ini, Polri merekrut personel dari kelompok disabilitas, di mana rekrutmen disabilitas bintara Polri adalah untuk yang menamatkan pendidikan di tingkat SMU dan SMK. Kemudian SIPSS untuk lulusan perguruan tinggi,” kata Dedi kepada wartawan, Selasa (16/1/2024).
Dedi menuturkan penyandang disabilitas akan ditugaskan untuk mengisi jabatan-jabatan seperti Teknologi Informasi (TI), Siber, Bagian Keuangan, Bagian Perencanaan, Administrasi dan lainnya yang bersifat non-lapangan.
“Sebagai referensi pada 3 negara maju yang menerima polisi dari golongan disabilitas antara lain Australia, Amerika Serikat dan Inggris,” ucap Irjen Dedi.
Sebelumnya, Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo menyampaikan saat ini ada 447 ribu personel Polri. Kapolri kemudian menerangkan soal rekrutmen di Polri mulai dari Akpol, SIPSS, Bintara, hingga Tamtama, bahkan rekrutmen untuk kelompok disabilitas.
Rekrutmen SIPSS 2024 untuk penyandang disabilitas akan dibuka mulai tanggal 26 Januari hingga 1 Maret 2024. Pendaftaran dapat dilakukan secara online melalui website resmi Polri.
