Perkuat Kerjasama Pendidikan, UMB Jadi Tujuan Kunjungan Kementerian Pendidikan Singapura

Universitas Mercu Buana (UMB) menjadi tujuan kunjungan perwakilan Kementerian Pendidikan Singapura pada Senin (11/9).
Kunjungan ini memiliki tujuan strategis untuk memperkuat kerja sama dalam bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang semakin terintegrasi dengan teknologi.

UMB sebagai kampus dengan Akreditas Unggul dan didorong sebagai World Class University oleh Lembaga Layanan Perguruan Tinggi wilayah III (LL DIKTI-III) merupakan institusi pendidikan tinggi yang telah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi informasi dalam trasnformasi digital pada sistem pengajaran dan pelayanan pendidikan kepada mahasiswa.

Dalam upaya tersebut UMB berkolaborasi dengan dua perusahaan Singapura; Kinobi dan MX Global untuk mengembangkan sistem pengajaran digital tersebut.

Ketua Pengurus Yayasan Menara Bhakti, Nurani Pujiastuti, Dipl. FM., dalam sambutannya mengatkan, UMB terbuka untuk berdiskusi terkait budaya di universitas dan bagaimana menjalankan program-program dalam hal strategi pembelajaran ataupun lainnya. “Saya berharap kolaborasi pendidikan ini akan terjalin bersama sebagai langkah yang sangat positif menuju peningkatan mutu pendidikan,” kata Nurani Pujiastuti.

Lebih lanjut Nurani Pujiastuti mengatakan, kunjungan ini bukan hanya sekadar pertukaran pengetahuan, tetapi juga merupakan langkah yang nyata dalam mendukung Visi dan Misi Universitas Mercu Buana. “Kami berharap, hasil dari kunjungan ini akan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan universitas dan mencapai visi dan misi kami untuk menciptakan tenaga profesional berkualitas yang memenuhi kebutuhan industri dan masyarakat dalam persaingan global,” ujarnya.

Dalam rombongan kunjungan tersebut ikut tiga belas guru dari Kementrian Pendidikan Singapura terdiri dari Kepala Departemen berbagai sekolah dasar dan menengah yang mengawasi pengembangan staf dan dan pengembangan siswa. Kementrian Pendidikan Singapura ingin melihat hasil dari perusahaan Singapore yang membantu perguruan tinggi melalui bisnis aplikasinya pada salah satunya universitas di Indonesia.

“Sharing session bersama dengan UMB, Kinobi dan MX Global dalam hal kolaborasi ini sangat penting untuk saling bertukar bagaimana perusahaan ini mendukung strategi pembelajaran di universitas. Bagaimana universitas mempersiapkan mahasiswa untuk siap terjun ke lingkungan pekerjaan, tranformasi digital dalam dunia pendidikan, dan lain-lain. Untuk itu kami sangat antusias untuk menjalin hubungan yang lebih erat dengan UMB dan melanjutkan pertukaran pengalaman serta peningkatan mutu pendidikan,” kata Dominique Loh sebagai Perwakilan dari Kementerian Singapura.
