Kisah Ipang BIP: Kilas Balik Band Plastik Terbentuk

JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM – Lama tak ada kabar, Ipang yang memiliki nama lengkap Irfan Fahri Lazuardy buka-bukaan. Vokalis grup musik BIP ini mengungkap awal dia bermusik bergabung dengan grup Plastik Band, juga sebagai vokalis.

Dipantau Aksikata.com dari kanal youtube; Ngobryls, Minggu (30/5/2021), Jimi x Malau, Ipang buka-bukaan soal banyak hal termasuk dibentuknya Grup Band Plastik, dalam episode “Ipang dari Alternative Rock , Trip Hop, hingga soundtrack Film”.

Vokalis berambut gimbal ini bercerita, ketika itu bersama kawan-kawannya, Didit, Alex yang suka bermain bermusik bersama sejak masa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Wilayah Mampang Prapatan Jakarta Selatan, sepakat mendirikan Grup Band Plastik.

“Gw, Didit, Alex dulu satu sekolah di SMP 43 di daerah Mampang Prapatan, suka ngeband bareng dan suka membawakan lagu-lagu Motley Crue, ” cerita Ipang.

Ipang menambahkan kegiataan ngeband bareng bersama rekan-rekanya di SMP 43 sempat terputus karena semenjak masuk SMA yang berbeda. Ipang mengaku masuk sekolah di SMA Darma Karya di Jalan Melawai, sekitar Blok M, Jakarta Selatan.

Pertemuan ketiganya terjadi lagi, ketika masuk di era kuliah. Ipang yang saat itu kuliah di Institute Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ), bertemu dengan Iman yang punya studio band. Iman pun mengajak Ipang untuk ngeband di tempatnya.

Ipang mengajak Didit dan Alex untuk bermain di studio milik Iman. Dari sinilah perjalanan dimulai. Ipang pun mengajak teman-temannya untuk mengarap band Plastik secara serius dan tidak main cover lagu orang lagi.

“Temen gue, si Iman punya studio di rumah. Dia bilang, ‘pada kesini main ke rumah’, (waktu itu) Didit main gitar, Iman main drama, Ipang main bas sambil nyanyi, di situ main musik dan tidak cover (lagu) lagi,” cerita Ipang.

Merasa sulit bermain bas sambil bernyayi Ipang meminta kepada Didit untuk mencari personil tambahan. “Cari basis datang Alex, mulailah buat lagu, merasa kurang Didit mencari personil lagi.Saat itu Didit nongkrong di (ganga) otlot ketemulah Aray, saat itu plastik belum ada namanya,” sambung Ipang.

Ipang pun mengaku masuknya grup Band Plastik ke dapur rekaman tidak lepas dari peran serta almarhum Ricky Dayadani atau Miten ‘Netral’.

Minten lah yang memperkenalkan Ipang dengan produser musik. “Almarhum Minten, dia orang pertama yang membawa band gue ke Indosemar untuk rekaman, baru di namakan Plasastik,” cerita Ipang.

Untuk di etahui Band Plastik dibentuk tahun 1995 dengan personil Didit, Ipang (Vokalis), Aray (Gitar), Alex DU (Bass), dan Iman (Drum). Album pertama mereka, “Plastik” (self titled), dirilis pada tahun 1995. Kemudian “Insting Psiko dan Harmoni” – 1997 dan “Dengarkan Pada Saat Tenang” – 1999 (Bulletin Musik).

Tapi Sayang, Band Plastik ini hanya bertahan sampai tahun 1999. Meski demikian, sampai sekarang masih banyak pencinta musik Indonesia dan fans fanatik Band Plastik yang tetap setiap mendengarkan lagu-lagunya. (EDDY)
