Masih Ada 47 Gempa Susulan di Ternate

JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM- Kepala Pusat Gempabumi dan Tsunami Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) Rahmat Triyono menjelaskan, hingga Senin (8/7/2019), pukul 12.45 WIB, telah terjadi 47 kali gempa susulan di wilayah laut di sebelah barat Kabupaten Kota Ternate dengan magnitudo terbesar adalah M 4.9 dan magnitudo terkecil M 3.1.

Gempa awal terjadi pada Minggu (7/7/2019), pukul 22.08.42 WIB dengan hasil analisis awal oleh BMKG gempabumi ini berkekuatan M=7,1 yang selanjutnya dilakukan pemutakhiran menjadi M=7,0. Episenter gempabumi terletak pada koordinat 0,53 LU dan 126,18 BT, atau tepatnya berlokasi di dasar laut pada kedalaman 49 km pada jarak 133 km arah barat Kota Ternate, Propinsi Maluku Utara.

Menurut Rahmat, dengan memperhatikan lokasi episenter dan kedalaman hiposenter, gempabumi yang terjadi merupakan jenis gempabumi dangkal akibat deformasi kerak bumi pada Lempeng Laut Maluku.

Gempa ini memiliki mekanisme sesar naik (thrust fault) akibat adanya tekanan/ kompresi lempeng mikro Halmahera ke arah barat, dan tekanan lempeng mikro Sangihe ke arah timur. Akibatnya, lempeng laut maluku terjepit hingga membentuk double subduction ke bawah Halmahera dan ke bawah Sangihe.

Berdasarkan laporan masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa guncangan dirasakan di Bitung dan Manado dengan intensitas IV-V MMI (dirasakan oleh hampir semua penduduk, orang banyak terbangun), dan di Ternate III-IV MMI (dirasakan oleh orang banyak dalam rumah). Dampak gempa Maluku Utara hanya menyebabkan terjadinya kepanikan yang luar biasa masyarakat. Di Kota Manado beberapa rumah tembok mengalami retak pada bangunan tembok bangunan dengan kategori sangat ringan.

Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan bahwa gempabumi berpotensi tsunami dengan level waspada untuk wilayah Minahasa Selatan dan Minahasa Utara bagian Selatan. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil monitoring perubahan muka air laut pada 6 stasiun tide gauge di Bitung, Tobelo, Ternate, Taliabu, Jailolo, dan Sanana selama kurang lebih 2 jam, sesuai dengan SOP, tidak menunjukkan adanya anomali, maka peringatan dini tsunami diakhiri pada pukul 00.09 WIB tanggal 8 Juli 2019.
