SVP of Corporate Secretary AP II Deni Krisnowibowo mengatakan, jumlah penumpang yang meroket dan melampaui target ini tidak lepas dari dukungan para stakeholder di seluruh Bandara AP II.
Kinerja positif sepanjang 2023 berkat kolaborasi dari seluruh pihak di antaranya maskapai, Bea Cukai, Imigrasi, Karantina, TNI, Polri, serta dukungan dari Kementerian BUMN, Kementerian Perhubungan, masyarakat luas, dan InJourney sebagai holding BUMN pariwisata dan pendukung.
“Pencapaian ini juga menunjukkan kemampuan AP II bersama stakeholder mendorong optimalisasi slot time penerbangan di seluruh bandara melalui pengaktifan kembali rute yang sempat ditutup saat pandemi, pembukaan rute-rute baru, dan peningkatan frekuensi penerbangan di rute eksisting, seperti misalnya pada Oktober 2023 dilakukan full operation Bandara Kertajati (Jawa Barat),” ujar Deni Krisnowibowo di Jakarta, Selasa,(16/1).
Pada saat pandemi melanda pada 2020 jumlah penumpang pesawat di Bandara-bandara AP II secara kumulatif tercatat 35,86 juta penumpang Pada tahun 2021 turun ke 31,55 juta penumpang, kemudian pada 2022 ketika status pandemi dicabut meningkat ke 61,99 juta penumpang, dan pada 2023 meroket ke 80,14 juta penumpang.
Deni Krisnowibowo mengatakan, jumlah penumpang 2023 sebanyak 80,14 juta penumpang ini merefleksikan tingkat pemulihan (recovery rate) sebesar 88% dari kondisi sebelum pandemi pada 2019 yang mencatatkan jumlah penumpang sebanyak 90,76 juta penumpang.
“Recovery rate pada 2023 sudah menyentuh nyaris 90%, dan kami berharap pada 2024 recovery rate akan terus meningkat,” ujar Deni Krisnowibowo.

Sepanjang tahun 2023, 5 besar Bandara AP II tersibuk dari sisi jumlah penumpang adalah Bandara Soekarno-Hatta – Tangerang (50,96 juta penumpang); Bandara Kualanamu – Deli Serdang (7,39 juta penumpang); Bandara Halim Perdanakusuma – Jakarta (3,79 juta penumpang); Bandara Sultan Syarif Kasim II – Pekanbaru (2,76 juta penumpang); dan Bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II – Palembang (2,75 juta penumpang).
“Jumlah penumpang di Bandara Soekarno-Hatta pada 2023 naik sekitar 21% dibandingkan dengan 2022,” ujar Deni Krisnowibowo.
