JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM – Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (TPPO) Polri terus membongkar berbagai kasus perdagangan orang di berbagai wilayah Indonesia. Saat ini sudah lebih dari seribu tersangka yang ditangkap.
Karopenmas Divisi Humas Polri, Brigjen Ahmad Ramadhan mengatakan sekitar seribu tersangka ini ditangkap dalam kurun waktu 5 Juni-13 November 2023.
“Jumlah tersangka pada kasus TPPO sebanyak 1.066 orang,” ujar Ramadhan kepada wartawan, Senin (13/9/23).
Ramadhan menjelaskan, berbagai pengungkapan perkara ini didasarkan pada 884 laporan polisi yang telah diterima Bareskrim dan Polda jajaran.
Selain seribuan tersangka yang ditangkap, lanjut Ramadhan, banyak pula korban yang berhasil dibebaskan.
“Laporan polisi sebanyak 884 laporan, jumlah korban TPPO yang diselamatkan sebanyak 2.840 orang,” jelas Ramadhan.
Para tersangka menggunakan berbagai macam modus untuk memperdagangkan korbannya. Mulai dari dijadikan asisten rumah tangga (ART) hingga pekerja seks komersil (PSK).
Adapun modus yang dilakukan: pekerja migran atau pembantu rumah tangga sebanyak 553 kasus, ABK sebanyak 7 kasus, PSK sebanyak 290 kasus, eksploitasi anak sebanyak 72 kasus.
Ramadhan menuturkan, Satgas TPPO Polri masih terus bekerja memberantas praktik perdagangan orang di Indonesia sesuai dengan perintah Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
