JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM – Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) melakukan menyelamatkan 160 Calon Pekerja Migran Indonesia (CPMI), korban sindikat penempatan ilegal ke Timur Tengah.
Dalam jumpa pers, Kepala Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) Benny Rhamndani menyebutkan, penyelamatan 160 calon pekerja migran Indonesia sindikat penempatan ilegal ke Timur Tengah yang dilakukan BP2MI, saat ini kasusnya sudah dilimpahkan ke Polres Metro Bekasi Kota.
Menurut Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol. Dr. Mohammad Fadil Imran, Polda Metro Jaya akan mendukung penuh upaya BP2MI dalam pemberantasan calo atau orang-orang yang memanfaatkan para pekerja migran, khususnya penempatan pekerja migran non prosedural atau ilegal.
“BP2MI dan Polda Metro Jaya berkomitmen untuk terus menjalin kerjasama dalam hal melindungi para Pekerja Migran Indonesia, baik yang masih berada di Indonesia maupun luar negeri. Sesuai arahan Bapak Presiden Indonesia, kami siap melindungi para pekerja migran Indonesia, dari ujung rambut sampai ujung kaki. Karena mereka adalah pahlawan Devisa bagi bangsa Indonesia,” jelas Fadil, Selasa (25/10/2022).
Kapolda berkomitmen untuk terus bersinergi bersama BP2MI demi mencegah terjadinya pengiriman pekerja migran secara ilegal terjadi kembali, terutama di wilayah Polda Metro Jaya.
“Tentunya dilapangan kita akan terus berkolaborasi dan berkomunikasi terkait mekanisme kerja maupun tindakan untuk mencegah terjadinya pengiriman pekerja migran secara ilegal,” tutup Fadil.
