JAKARTA, AKSIKATA.COM – Imam Besar Front Pembela Islam (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab harus mendekam lebih lama lagi di sel tahanan. Pasalnya, Mabes Polri memperpanjang masa penahanan Habib Rizieq. Penahanan Rizieq akan diperpanjang selama 40 hari ke depan terhitung 1 Januari 2021.
Menurut Kadiv Humas Polri Irjen Pol Argo Yuwono, dalam keterangannya, Rabu (30/12), perpanjangan masa penahanan Habib Rizieq sesuai Pasal 24 KUHP dan untuk kepentingan pemeriksaan yang belum selesai. Sehingga masa penahanan MRS diperpanjang 40 hari terhitung mulai tanggal 1 Januari hingga 9 Februari 2021.
Penahanan Habib Rizieq diperpanjang karena menolak menandatangani Berita Acara (BA) surat perintah perpanjangan penahanan. “Penyidik tetap membuat BA penolakan penandatanganan Sprin tahan dan BA perpanjangan penahanan,” ujar Argo.
Walau Habib Rizieq Shihab menolak, penyidik tetap menghormati keputusan dengan tetap membuat Berita Acara penolakan.
Habib Rizieq Shihab ditetapkan sebagai tersangka kasus kerumunan di Petamburan. Selain itu ia juga dijerat kasus dugaan penghasutan. Ia dijerat Pasal 160 KUHP dan Pasal 216 KUHP dengan ancaman maksimal hukuman 6 tahun penjara.
Habib Rizieq sendiri mulai ditahan di Rutan Polda Metro Jaya sejak 13 Desember. Ia ditahan selama 20 hari pertama karena ancaman pidana di atas lima tahun dan pertimbangan subjektivitas dan objektivitas penyidik.
