Pos Pengamatan Gunungapi Tangkuban Parahu menyebutkan ketinggian kolom abu teramati ± 200 m di atas puncak (± 2.284 m di atas permukaan laut).
Kolom abu teramati berwarna kelabu dengan intensitas tebal condong ke arah timur laut dan selatan. Erupsi ini terekam di seismogram dengan amplitudo maksimum 38 mm dan durasi ± 5 menit 30 detik.
Petugas pemantau dari Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVBMG) Ilham Mardikaryanta menjelaskan hingga pukul 16.15 WIB, proses erupsi masih berlangsung.
Saat ini Gunung Tangkuban Perahu berada pada Status *Level I (Normal)* dengan rekomendasi:
A. Masyarakat di sekitar Gunung Tangkuban Perahu dan pengunjung, wisatawan, pendaki tidak diperbolehkan turun mendekati dasar kawah Ratu dan Kawah Upas dan tidak boleh menginap dalam kawasan kawah-kawah aktif yang ada di dalam kompleks Gunung Tangkuban Perahu, serta ketika cuaca mendung dan hujan dikarenakan terdapatnya gas-gas vulkanik yang dapat membahayakan kehidupan manusia.
